Hi,
I've recently started using Metastock, and don't have much experience with Stocks and Share - learning all the time though.
I've got a question about how to interpret the signals that are generated by the expert system.s I am intending to trade end of day, so I downloaded Nasdaq data at the end of trading and loaded a chart to which I had already attached an expert system.
The system came up with a buy alert, and said place a market close order - The data was for end of trading 28th Aug.
How should I interpret the signal - Should the trade have been placed for market close price on the 28th, or does it mean market close on the next trading day.
Thanks
Chris

Welcome here Chris ! chrisdr wrote:How should I interpret the signal That's up to you ;) There are thousands of different ways to do it and they all might be profitable. There aren't any sure fire system. A possible entry point would be a macd crossover on a 15 min chart the next day. And you could exit when the system tells you to exit. That being said, I don't have a lot of faith in metastock's expert systems. There are great for learning but they shouldn't be used "as is" in live trading.
