I have 10.1 vers. It was running well with no problems. Suddenly few days ago when starting the Testing System metastock just went out in non responding mode. After shut down nothing helped. After reinstallation - no changes. Metastock works well but when I start tester - program just do not respond.
Had anyone same problems?

Still having the problem with this for already 5 days. And I probably found the routs: if I try to open Console Summary.htm through the browser of Metastock - the same stuff - metastock just hung and do not respond! So the problem with Tester seems to be in some conflicts with html files (I have IE6.0.2900.2180 and Mozilla firefox). Guys can you help please?

In the MetaStock folder (Usually C:\Program Files\Equis\MetaStock) you should have an ST_DATA.MDB file and a "Results" folder. How large is the ST_DATA.MDB file? You can try deleting the Results folder, but be aware you will lost the results of your system tests. If the ST_DATA.MDB file seems large ( > 100 MB ), you may want to try using the "Options-->Clean Now" within the System Tester.

All these files and folders are clean - I reinstalled Metastock already hundreds of times (st data just 2 mb). Tester does not start at all - when I press $ - the Metastock just hung - no responce - so I each time shut it down. I was opening the Console Summary.htm file in the notepad - and deleted this line where it refers to CLSID (huge numbers which wont fit in here). After that Metastock browser was able to open it. Bur when I initiate the tester this line again appears in file Console Summary.htm and tester does not start. I guess it tries to get data from register which does not exist on my computer. Is it possible to change it somehow?

by the way this file Console Summary.htm opens and shows the system information - if I open it in the browser (IExplorer) but when I try opening this in the browser of Metastock - then it hung and does not respond. (((( shit

We have also seen some issues with overseas customers. There seems to be an issue with the decimal symbol. If you open your Control Panel and open the Regional & Language Options and click "Customize", you can change some of the language features: Justin attached the following image(s):

No it didn't work. I know exactly now that the problem is with teechart5.ocx file that I have in C:\WINDOWS\system32 eeChart5.ocx and the registry entry that I have on CLSID {B6C10489-FB89-11D4-93C9-006008A7EED4} InprocServer32 - if I edit string in default from C:\WINDOWS\system32 eeChart5.ocx to C:\WINDOWS\system32 eeChart.ocx - then system tester starts at no problem - but I do not have embedded pictures in results report, equity report and system space. With string C:\WINDOWS\system32 eeChart5.ocx - system tester just does not start. Already used 4 different register cleaners - don't help.
Any ideas on that?
Thanks in advance!

It's possible the teechart5.ocx file was unregistered, you can try running the following command on a command prompt:
regsvr32 teechart5.ocx
You should receive some sort of "succeeded" message. You will likely have to restart MetaStock after doing this.
I don't even have a teechart.ocx myself, but from doing a cursory look online, it appears that teechart.ocx went as high as version 4, so teechart5.ocx might just be the version 5 equivalent, which we use (we will not work properly with teechart.ocx).
It's possible that you may need to first Unregister the file as follows:
regsvr32 teechart5.ocx /u
then re-register it:
regsvr32 teechart5.ocx
If you still have issues, it's possible that there are some missing registry entries that we need.

Tried it. With unregistered Teechart5 - tester works - but no embedded pics. When I register teechart5 Tester does not respond and I have to shut it down (((
I also do not have teechart.ocx - I just changed the name in the registry - and it worked (guess the same as with registration). Teechart5.ocx is installed with Metastock - it is very strange that then tester does not work with this ocx.
Should you have any other ideas I would appreciate. My IT expertise in this subject seems to reach the limit ))).

The reason it worked in that case is that the System Tester likely does not require Teechart5.ocx aside from the graphics, so by changing the name to teechart.ocx (you could probably use johndoe.ocx just as well) you are simply not using the file at that point. Regarding the key you mentioned before: {B6C10489-FB89-11D4-93C9-006008A7EED4} You should also see this key referenced in 2 other keys: TeeChart.TeeChart-->Clsid TeeChart.TeeChart.5-->Clsid Justin attached the following image(s):

I didn't have it referenced at TeeChart.TeeChart-->Clsid. Changed it but no result.
I have it also referenced here: http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/3009/igorpek.0/0_11289_c3cd5412_XL.jpg
Do you have the same?
