Hello!

I'm using Metastock 9.0 for a while and recently I discovered strange bug. I've made a very simple filter in Explorer which checked if last candle was above 200-day moving average:
C > Mov(C,200,E) AND O > Mov(C,200,E)

But in results table moving average in Explorer had other values than THE SAME moving average (exponential, 200-day) plotted on chart. Can anybody help me with this issue?

Hi WlQ,

Welcome to the Forum.

The problem you express is well known and is caused by not loading enough data for the exploration to "fully" compute the EMA. See http://forum.equis.com/search/SearchResults.aspx?q=load+minimum+recordsleast 1000 bars of data.

Hope this helps.
