This problem started when I was looking for a solution around MS's limitation of 6 Inputs per indicator, so if anyone has any thoughts about work-arounds, I'd like to hear them.

Anyway, my problem is that in trying to plot my entry price on a chart, I use an Input to prompt for the price. I then plot the result. I get a line at that level on the chart as a reference. Great.

Then I decided it would be nice sometimes to just use the latest closing price. I changed my indicator so that if I left the Input price zero, I would use the latest closing price to draw/plot the line. I can't figure out how to do that. Everything I've tried ends up w/ MS dutifully plotting the Closing price of each bar, rather than the single value line I want/expected.

I'm sure this is profoundly fundamental stuff, but I'm stumped.
Thanks

Hi gmac,

Welcome to the Forum.

Have a look at the LastValue() function.

Hope this helps.
