I have loaded the Metastock version of the formulas and the indicators, but when I apply it to the graph it does not fit properly (Box High do not correspond with the high as wel as the low - ) Can anyone assist in what I am doing wrong! maybe there is different formula - is there a way that it can pick the box or must it be lines as i am experiencing
Regards
Arrie

If I had to guess, it is probably a scaling issues with the indicators. Right click on the Darvas indicators, select Scaling, select Merge with Scale on Right, then Click OK

Hi Arrie,
You are not doing anything wrong!
When you consider the rules for creating a Darvas Box the answer will become obvious.
The first step is to establish the new "Darvas Box Top" or "Darvas High" which identifies a new 12 month high (classic Darvas) which is followed by three lower highs.
Now, when you look at your chart and armed with this knowledge, you will understand that the top line will start to plot 3 days after the new high was formed and the bottom line will start to plot 3 days after the box low has formed.
Once you are aware of this it is easy to mentally place the Darvas Box on the chart as Metastock can effectively only plot continuous lines in this application.
Cheers,
oz
