Hi All

I have 10.1 EOD installed on a Vista Ultimate machine. I have never had trouble until tonight. When I double click MSWin - nothing happens. I have it set to run as administrator. Also, when I look in Task manager, mswin.exe is there. The downloader runs fine. I have tried rebooting - still the same problem.

If anyone knows how to help, I would be very happy.

Cheers

This may be an issue with the Activation software.
Go to Start, All Programs, Equis International, select License Manager
License the product, then try to start Metastock again

Hi Trader Joe,

Thanks for the reply.

I have managed to run the program now. I had an iPod connected when it wouldn’t run. I removed the iPod and hey presto – Metastock ran! Checked again just now – and yes – it runs!

Cheers

Colin

This is indeed related to the activation software. Some PCs will change drive letter configurations when a removable drive is plugged in (even an ipod). This messes with the activation software, as to where to find the necessary information.

Thanks Trader Joe.

Something for us to bear in mind.

Regards

Colin
