Hi,

I have a problem with exploration.
My formula is only a simple one. But problem is not with the formula but with the results.
It seemed to show counters which are already obsolete.
Yeah, I didnt do housekeeping and delete them.
Some of the counters are a year or two back but yet it comes out in my result.
Is there any way to filter them out?

Thanks!

It is much easier for us to provide help and advice when we can see your code, even if it is simple. If you post your code here then we can help you write a latch function, or a counter function, or whatever other methods might be suitable to improve the filtering of your results. As we don't know what the original conditions are, we cannot provide any real assistance, yet.

You could always use my Nexus Date plugin at:
http://www.tradernexus.com/nexusdate/

then in your exploration, just add something like to your filter:
AND ExtFml( "NexusDate.DaysOld") < 5

which will then only show charts that have traded in the last 5 calendar days.

You're probably closer to the mark than I was Richard? I was thinking obsolete signals/alerts, you were obviously thinking obsolete symbols.

For anyone looking to identify those symbols that have not traded in the last x-calendar days, then I highly recommend Richard's excellent (and free) Nexus Date product.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Hayseed.
Great tool!
Though i am not deleting - for future analysis and study purposes.
This is also because the data mentioned is the Malaysian market. There is only about 1,400 active counters to be traded. A few hundred obsolete ones are fine :)
