I am trying to copy reports from the Enhanced System Tester to an Excel spreadsheet. It does not work. I have done what the Help recommends (clicking on the sheet I want to copy and then pressing "CTRL + C" then going to the Excel spreadsheet to try paste it but the paste function is greyed out). What I have also noticed is that when I have a report from the Enhanced System Tester as the active window I cannot view the chart of a share in Metastock. The only way is to close the Enhanced System Tester window, minimizing can't be done either. Also if I press the windows hotkey and "M" which should display my desktop, it instead displays the Enhanced System Tester window. It would appear the Enhanced System Tester window is locked and only functions relating to it are able to be done, which does not include copying. Please help as being able to copy these reports would save me a lot of time in analyzing them.

Metastock is a good technical analysis program but if some small and big (like yours) inconvenenicies would be fixed that would be great. Anyway your problems are without solution from what i know...and belive me i know....The first report page from system tester, the only page wich is actually useful, the page where is showing the results form multiple securities when u do such a test cannot be copied, at least not in version 8 and 9. Wouldn`t it be nice to have a enhanced system tester like Tradesim? but i guess it will never happen

All of the information from the Enhanced System Tester is avaialble to the user in the ST_Data.mdb file. All you need to do is write an Access/Excel/HTML/PHP front end application to connect to the database and you shall be able to perform whatever analysis you like.

I just find it strange that the Metastock help for copying reports details how it can be done but then it does not work. I assumed this problem was specific to me because, to me, this is a huge inconvenience and I would have expected many others to have reported it before.
I am looking at getting TradeSim but if Metastock can do what it says it can I will not have to spend more money.

Would it be too much to ask for a sample front end to copy the report to excel. I am not familiar with how to do it but if I had a sample I may be able to muddle through it.
