Hi everyone,
I am a software engineer and I am not interested in trading but I have a customer who wants me to create him an addon that can be used with Metastock. I want to get information about the addons. So could you please give some information about them???

Do you have questions about specific available addons/plugins, or are you looking for technical info to develop your own?
If the latter, Equis sells an SDK for programmers to allow you to develop custom DLLs and proprietary addons. This allows you to go beyond the built-in high-level language's capabilities. Contact their tech support people for more info.
Sorry, I can't help you with info about the SDK; I don't have it, just know it exists.

Hakan, if you are not interested in trading, it really means that you have little or no understanding of the markets.
Without at least a basic understanding of how the markets function, any resulting code or addon is very unlikely to be useful - just ask Ms Ramona. ;)

Actually what I will do is something simple I think. I have the formulas and the data sets (open, close, high and low etc..) I can do the calculations but what I would like to do is such a thing that can be become a product which I can use the results. I would like to write a program which can send e-mails or sms to the people while the trigger levels are past. So what I would like to do is writing a program to make metastock work for the these procedures and get the necessary data from it. What I would like to know is: Not to know if I can do or not but which tool or how can I add such a module?

One site that might help is: http://tadoc.org/. They have several of the most common indicators with explanations and a lot of them have c++ souce code. I wish I had time to learn to code but my free time <= 0, so I can't say if their code is worth anything [:(]
