Would like to get a RSI $ period Expert Advisor formula.
In Exploration I use the following formula:
Col A Buy
(RSI(C,4)<10)
Col B Sell
(RSI(C,4)>90)
Col C RSI-4
RSI(C,4)
Col D Close
Close
Col E Volume
Volume
Col F Vol%Chng
(VOLUME/(Mov(VOLUME,90,S))*100)
Filter:
(RSI(C,4)<10) OR (RSI(C,4)>90)
Is this correct? I may want to add additional Filter to narrow my list down more any advise on addtional filter.
Thank You

hey nasdaq..... that looks good , however some might just put colA OR colB in the filter section rather than the codes themselves.....h

Hayseed,
Thank you for your help. Can I also put in the filter to narrow my search down for Stocks with High Volatility and closing price higher than $25
or Should I usea price and liquidity filter that required all stocks be priced above $5 and have a 100-day moving average of volume greater than 250,000 shares?
Look to hear your advice.
Thank you again.

hey nasdaq...... there are several ways to look filters.... without the volume and price filter you will surely be wasting time looking at securities that are of no trading value.... they may be highly valuable, just not to traders.....
my prefered method of filtering is only to trade/explore members of the s&p 500 and the ishares..... that is where almost all the action and money is....
your exploration appears to be looking to buy on excessive weakness and sell on excessive strength..... that's somethin i could never do.... so often securities will be weak or strong for a long lasting reason.... trading against that reason is tough business..... i just can't seem to wait it out and would always sell a week before the big turn.....
i can trade after the potiental big turn commences however..... that would be something like
Cross( RSI(5), 20)
Cross(70, RSI(5))
you can run your explorations and then use some site like clearstation to put your results in a well named portfolio such as , rsi<10 explore 1/22/07... then watch that portfolio and see as a group how it fares.... you can create hundreds of portfolios and it only takes seconds to see how a particular scan makes out over time.....h
