I have MS 8.01. The accelerator key CTRL-U allows one to open an additional security in the current window. Unfortunately, this new security always is displayed as a BLACK line chart. This is a real problem since I use a black window background. None of the MSproperties that I can locate allow me to change this setting. I can set the default colors and price style for securities opened the normal way; but not for those opened with CTRL-U.
Does anyone know how to change these default settings for CTRL-U? (CTRL-U is not even mentioned in my manual)

I just tried this using MS 9.x, and was able to change the properties by either a double-click on the 2nd security, or from a right-click menu.

Johnathan:
Perhaps I wasn't clear. Yes, I can also change the properties AFTER the curve is plotted. But with a black screen, I have to use the Tab key to search and find the curve, since I can't see it. What I want is a way to change the default setting for securities that are opened with CTRL-U, so it doesn't always open as a black line plot.
Is that clearer?

Yes, but I don't see any way to change the default...
FWIW, I've played with a variety of color schemes over time, and have ended up using a chart background color of "Grey-40", which is easier on the eyes than "blaring white", lets me use lighter colors, yet still shows the darker colors adequately.
