Hello,

Does anyone know from experience what the best indicators are for improving the ZIG ZAG method (intra day )by reinforcing market change predictions (bull to bear or the opposite)?

In other words an indicator close to the RSI and working with metastock 10.

Thanks a lot !

José,

Yes, it is the method in which you are following the actual market trend and not a market prediction.

The real trend/evolution is represented by a line going up or down and changing often during the day

that's why it's called (probably) the Zig ZAg method.

The problem is changing the future(from long to short or the opposite) as fast as the market is changing in order not to lose too much on changing points (this effect is called 'slippage')

Thanks in advance !

José,

By coincidence I read an answer from you to another forum member about Jan Arps with whom I 'm

corresponding a bit about different subjects.

For me his tools are not compatible with Metastock,do you agree ?

It's a pitty as his tools are realy interesting...

It does work however with Tradestation.

regards

JIPV, I don't know anything about Jan Arps so I can't comment about his tools. Please read more about the ZigZag - you'll find that it is not suitable for actual trading, as it is calculated in hindsight. jose '-)

JIPV, based on your questions I would suggest you first try some basic experience with EOD trading before venturing into the tough world of intraday trading. jose '-)
