Can any one tell me how to insert this formula?

The simple 200 day Moving average of today > The simple 200 day moving average of yesterday

AND The high of today > The simple 200 day moving average of today

AND The low of today < The simple 200 day moving average of today

AND The slow stochastics (8,3,3) %K <= 40%

Would this formula be an exploration or a filter?

Many thanks

Regards

Lesmor

AND The slow stochastics (8,3,3) %K <= 40%

A:=Mov(C,200,S);

B:=Mov(Stoch(8,3),3,S);

Sig:=If(A>Ref(A,-1) and H>A and L<A and B<=40,1,If(A<Ref(A,-1) and H>A and L<A and B>=60,-1,0));

Sig

This will plot +1 for your condition, -1 for the reverse

Place the whole formula in ColA and in the filter section

ColA<>0

Lesmor,

Welcome to the Forum...

I think you will benefit greatly by reading the MS Users Manual and attempting all the exercises in the free Equis Formula Primer (from the downloads section). Both of these will give you the knowledge and know-how to build your own indicators, experts, explorations and systems; simple ones like expressed in this thread, and with some time and practice you will be able to code more complex ideas.

To get you started try this:

Code:

New Exploration}
{Filter}

sma:=Mov(C,200,S);

{simple 200 day Moving average of today > The simple 200 day moving average of yesterday}
sma>Ref(sma,-1) AND

{The high of today > The simple 200 day moving average of today}
H>sma AND

{The low of today < The simple 200 day moving average of today}
L<sma AND

{The slow stochastics (8,3,3) %K <= 40%}
Mov(Stoch(8,3),3,E)<=40

You can take the comments out if you desire, you dont need them.
