Hi hayseed, Thanks for the response. Yes, am refering to the left hand side; the area as circle by you. Currently, by default, I can only have the Company name but I hope to have the symbol next to it as well.

hey roy..... you can use the downloader for that..... if your wanting to do just a few, open the downloader and open the data sheet for the security needed.... in the name box, just type in the ticker along with the name and click save..... have the chart closed before saving and close the data sheet before opening the new named chart..... if your wanting to do a whole folder , you'll be better off creating a new sym file and redownloading..... if your thinking about more than just a name, awhile back i had a thought of having 50 csco charts in a single folder but have the 'name' reflecting the expert attached.... if you think about it a second, you'll see how convienent that would be...... however, there is a character limit for the name..... addtionaly it required extra downloads of the same symbol, so the idea went astray..... later developed a much better way...... now with one 'csco' in one second and one click any 'csco' chart can be opened with any expert , template , layout i have..... or 'dia', 'spy' , 'oex' and such.....h

Hmm....using the downloader for the number of US stock don't seem suitable as it would be very time consuming and tedious. As for the creating of sym file, I have totally no idea at all of how to go about doing it. Well, might probably make do with the default. Thanks anyway for your sharing......
