Are you referring to Reuters DataLink? If so, the following file attachments may be helpful (And this post may be moved accordingly). Please note, you should normally receive a welcome letter with a link to download the EuropeIRDL.EXE (or equivalent file), which configures the port and extracts these symbol lists for you. Also, these files do not update automatically each month. It is a good idea to keep your original email so that you can download a newer version of these .SYM files each month. These files should be saved into C:\\Program Files\\Equis\ he DownLoader (Or wherever your DownLoader is installed). (Edit: Removed Attachments, uploaded to alternate Downloads section)

EuropeIRDL.exe is delivered with a European Reuter subscription The file do not include all Eurolist securities The SYM file for Reuters download has the Reuter symbol To trade the European market it is necessary to provide the ISIN code Metastock handle the Reuters Code (Reuter been the DataFeed) It is necessary to have a match file betwwen Reuter code and ISIN The mandatory metastock improvement will be to handle the ISIN code from a reuter datafeed Thank you for your attention from France ******** By the way the download links do not work (at least for me) The number of download is upgraded at each try and for Paris by example the link http://forum.equis.com/download.php?id=765 is changed to http://forum.equis.com//...s_stock_exchange_275.sym with a 404 status ********

I will see if I can do something about the .SYM files posted here. I am still not sure on the current status of your symbol lists. Do you have any files with ISIN in the name in your DownLoader folder? If so, these files should contain the ISIN codes for the listed exchanges.

If you signed up a long time ago (sometime last year), you may have an old version of the EuropeIRDL.exe which did not contain the ISIN sym files. If you no longer have your original welcome email, I recommend contacting support at Equis and requesting a new welcome letter be sent to you. In the welcome letter, run the EuropeIRDL.exe link. You very possibly will need to run the installation twice. The first time uninstalls the old sym files, and the second time will install the new sym files, which should include the ISIN sym files. Keep this email, and run the link (twice) each month. This will ensure that you always have the latest list of European symbols available.

You say right my subscription to Reuters datafeed is older than a year and since I did not download again. Indeed and up to now I was building my own Sym file I have downloaded the latest EuropeIRL.EXE and the ISIN code is specified This can change the way I was tracking the securities Thank you for your great help Raymond
