Does anybody know how good the Martin Pring Long-Term Momentum System is and where additional information can be found on the system? Used with the Expert Advisor, the Martin Pring Long-Term Momentum System appears to be a powerful indicator at least graphically. However, there is no way of testing how the approach does unless one gathers the signal/date/prices manually and performs the computations since the Martin Pring Long-Term Momentum System is not in the Enhanced System Tester. Further, not much is described on it in Metastock. Is anybody using it? If so, how well does it work? What are its shortcomings and how can they be compensated? Where can more information can be found on it?

Pring system uses momentum - what is momentum? http://momentum.behaviouralfinance.net/ Who is Pring, and what is method and how does he define momentum? http://www.amazon.com/gp...-2838302-5430307?ie=UTF8 http://www.amazon.com/gp...-2838302-5430307?ie=UTF8 My comments: Pring uses multiple moving averages of different price rates of change to define his momentum. He adds to this a complexity of using RSI momentum that uses nested moving averages. It is possible to duplicate his system in the system tester, it might take some time to get all the indicators 100% aligned, but it is possible and its easier than manually programming the entry and exit bars by hand! If you want to achieve the exact comparison of the built-in expert to the EST and cannot build the system yourself, then I suggest you hire a coder to do it for you. I think the load on Jose's plate has dropped slightly (?), mine is still relatively full. If you don't ask, you don't get! Hope the links serve you some good information. If you need more help, then just ask. wabbit :D
