I was primarily suggesting use of the charts without the indicators. That is a big first step in ruling out a lot of what could be causing the issue. Once we can isolate the issue to the formulas or simply the updating of the security data, we can look further in the right direction. In a case like this it could be a combination of both (Since you are using security data in your formulas). The number of securities in a folder not configured for realtime updates is not a problem. If all those security files are attempting to update in real-time (or however many your provider allows you to track at once) then yes this is a major problem.

Well, I have tried the following layout that used to have a crash problem forcing MS to shut down. It is quite promising that no such error occur while there are some messages saying that too many charts opened or complex expert advisors / indicators.... However, the market is quite today and there was no fast market that requests lots more resources to update. I will test the layout in the coming few days.... - The same layout was re-developed with charts opened with the CLEAN.MWT, then adding additional securities & indicators. - A new folder with around 30 securities (tickers) copied from the original folder, and just make this new folder updatable realtime by MS's Tools \\ Option \\ Real-time \\ Configure Server \\ To me, there is only an additional step to open the charts with the CLEAN.MWT. If it really eliminate the problem, what has been causing the problems??? Regards, sa

It was either a 1 or a 0 !? Glad we could be of service. -- If you are happy with the answers you have received and consider your problem answered, can you please edit the subject of the first post in the thread and add "[RESOLVED]" to the end of the subject. If the existing subject line is too long, just delete enough characters in the existing subject so that the full "[RESOLVED]" can fit in the subject line. Please include the square brackets and use all capitals - thanks. To edit your posts, at the top right of each article you will see the word "edit" in small text. It is the link to be able to edit the selected post. Click the link and you're away! In the next variant of the Forum, you will have a button to push to do all this for you. If you need me to do this for you, please let me know. wabbit :D
