What do you other guys use for your data source??
I''m currently using Dial Data and they have problems providing a complete download HOURS after the markets close. Their tech support is non-responsive so I'm looking for another provider.
Any recommendations?

I'm a bit biased, but I have tried several data sources and my favorite for EOD is Reuters Datalink.
My favorite for real time is QuoteCenter.
Both are competively priced, very fast downloads, and reliable data.

hey affjm.... i'm not biased a bit but agree with brandon.... you didn't mention what markets your interested in so this is just tossing out some thoughts.....
here in the states, reuters eod is hard to be beat for eod downloads.... quotecenter has full year intraday realtime data so for intense intraday backtesting it also will be hard to beat....... quotecenter seems to have an unusally large number of index/indcies symbols which can be handy...... qc uses a country prefix in addition to the security ticker which might be confusing for some but was not for me......... qc also offers a gozillion other symbols if your into futures, commodities, derivatives and possibly pink sheets.....
my metastock version was for esignal and prior to qc's release.... i use both reuters and esignal now.....
haven't a clue to their cost comparisions but all 3 have done well..... h

Thanx for the quick effective replies!!
Apparently, Dial Data reads this forum. Lol... Cuz today they are FINALLY interested in addressing the problem. I'm going to at least finish this billing period to see if they can correct the issue.
To answer the other questions - I look for stocks that have good technicals pointing to a quick 2 or 3 ticks one way or the other AND have options available. I take about ~$1K options per position and out in a day down ~30% if I guess wrong or out in 3-4 days up 50%+ if I'm right.
Again - thanx for the quick responses.

" i use both reuters and esignal now"
hayseed,
how have you configured MS to use two data providers? Or are you using MS for one and the downloader for another?
