Does equis provide soft copy of the 600 page user manual? Or someone on the forum has a pdf version of the manual? Thanks

No; there is no legal software version of the manual. The only source is the soft-covered book available from Equis to registered users.

There is not a PDF of the manual available. However, all the same content that is in the manual can be found in the Help section of MetaStock.

Comeon B, if the online help has all of the same content, it needs some serious work on usability.

Not the online help, the built in help under the Help menu. It has all the same content, just in a different hierarchy

I think equis should start thinking about offering pdf version. It is much cheaper and environmentally friendly.

Which is why we offer the exact same content that is in the manual built right into MetaStock.

hey tanand.... by your using the '600 page' term i assume you know the 2 smaller manuals along with several others are included in pdf style..... equis employees have mentioned in the past several reasons why the big book is not.... i wore out 3 big books before moving to the included help section..... it includes many neat features...... i clearly understand your desire for a pdf, you might want to toss your wish on the wish list, ya never know, they might change their mind.....h

hayseed... you are the man. :) All the little fab things that are running around in your head. Tanand. I can tell you one reason that Equis probably wont do a pdf version of the full manual. There are a number of countries worldwide where piracy is a HUGE problem. You can get a MS disk for super cheap. What you cannot get is the manual. A 300+ page doc in pdf format would be a monster to look through, right? So you would use some sort of Find methodology to look through. Well, the programmers over at MS put the whole manual right into MS and made it context sensitve. So it is a pretty workable solution. Add in hayseeds tips.. and you are home free. :) Marilyn
