When I try and start Metastock Ver. 8.0 I get a warning message on the bottom toolbar of my desktop. When I click the warning message I get another small warning box in the center of my computer screen saying "14-Day". After clicking this 14-day message box about 8 times it goes away and I'm able to start Metastock. I've been having this problem for months now and Metastock has never heard of it before. I'm also unable to reinstall 3rd party Add-Ons into Metastock ( I get the 14-Day warning during instalation).

R U sure that MS is generating the warning? Or could it be causing the warning to be triggered from another program? Can you attach a screen shot?

My suggestion would be to contact support about this. They would be better able to help you. After you get an answer, it would be nice for you to post it here so others can see how you resolved the problem.

This message does not come from any supported plug-in. There are a number of 3rd party plug-ins that can cause this error. There is most likely a .DLL file in C:\\Program Files\\Equis\\MetaStock\\External Function DLLs that is causing the issue. You of course do not want to just randomly delete the files in this folder. The built-in ones that I am aware of are: DynamicTradingTools.dll PointFig.dll ppEval.dll Simulation.dll Anything else is more than likely from some plug-in.

Nope... not mine. Mine dies silently, unless you access the functions from a chart, then you get a polite and meaningful message in an MS error window. wabbit :D

Thanks Pyradius, it worked. I've got Ver. 8.0 so the only ones I got are ppEval.dll and Simulation.dll
