Hi,
I'm looking for a volume indicator/expert like Chaikin Money Flow. Can't find it in MetaStock, PowerPivotsPlus, etc. Please advise.
Thanks,
Joe

This is a built-in indicator, so it will not appear in Tools>Indicator Builder. It should appear in the Indicator Quicklist, however.

speakin of floatin, most indicators are sinkin like a rock..... what ya reckon that means......h

Hi,
Lookind for volume expert [not indicator] such as: Chaikin Money Flow, On Balance Volume, Accumulation/Distribution Line, and/or Money Flow Index. Someone can make a lot of money by building a simple expert for one or more of the above. Right now it seems like every expert is based on a thousand variations of price and time. What about volume! Dah! Please advise.
Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe-
The Expert Advisor in MetaStock lets you create your own Expert There are several examples of Experts included with MS that you can disect. Also, the User's Manual and the training videos are good sources for information on writing whatever type of [volume based] Expert that you desire.

Hi,
Thanks for all the replies. Sure seems like someone must have developed an expert which includes volume. I like the "experts" that explain the "indicators".
Thanks,
Joe

I am sure they have, and for a small fortune they might even let you 'have' a copy.
Joe, only you know what you know and what you don't know. So... write your own expert that tells you a lot about the indicators that you don't know very much about, and only a little of the indicators that you do know. You can include volume too! Over time, you can continue editing the expert as your knowledge grows. And it's all for free!
Take a copy of one of the exisiting experts as a template and edit away until your heart and brain are content. See the Manual for more. Ask here for help and tips. [Tip: there are aspects when programming experts that are slightly different to 'normal' MSFL code. Patience is a virtue.]
wabbit :D
