OK hef... Firstly Welcome to the forum. I hope you find the site useful. However, a few comments on your first post... A quick tour around the keyboard will show you keys like "I" "a" "m" "p" "l" "e" "a" "s" "e" (again) and many more. (Maybe English isn't your native tongue? So you would appreciate the difficulty of this situation, but I notice you are from 'aust' and made certain assumptions. If they are wrong, sorry, but) Please don't use abbreviated language, i.e surfie grommet speak, see here for examples: http://www.bodyboardingw.../modules.php?name=Forums These kids struggle to put a sentence together at the best of times! This is an international forum, some people do not have a strong grasp of English - we must be considerate of them. Courtesy. It goes a long way. I am sure your parents brought you up right. Let's honour them.

Its reading better already!

Now if you had read the forum rules, you would know that this is useless to anyone who may try to help. What code? Please post all code you are having troubles with, and quote the source. Copy? Copy from where? What errors? You need to write EXACTLY what errors are generated. Is there an actual error (with a beep and a little window saying error gernerated?) or doesn't the code produce the right signals at the right time? They are different situations, and must be dealt with differently.

Well a good source of the basic application of the Gann studies would be the MetaStock Users Manual that came with your legitimate copy of MetaStock. Another source would be Google: http://www.google.com.au...Search&meta=lr%3Dlang_en I am sure there are a thousand books on the subject, so why not visit Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp...Gann&Go.x=9&Go.y=8&Go=Go If you are asking the forum members to recommend a book or website, why not just ask, "Can anyone recommend a good book or site detailing the use of Gann Swing Indicators, please?" If you need any more help, just ask. Hope this helps. wabbit :D P.S. Damn run out of coffee!

"GANN - Swing", "GANN - Trend" "GaW-Trend" Expert you have to put all those 3 formula into indicator builder if you want to use exert advisor,otherwise you can't use them

hey hef..... several things can cause that message.... most often its a slight difference in the indicator name between the indicator list and how its named in the expert.... take a very close look at whats between the " " in the fmlvar name.... as example, if the name listed in the indicator builder is GANN - Trend , it has to be the exact same way in the experts.... that includes spaces.... it has to be exact.... ut:=FmlVar("GANN - Trend","TDV"); this is correct ut:=FmlVar("GANN -Trend","TDV"); this will return the error, missing space and of course it might not be a slight name difference, it might be the indicator is just flat out not in your list..... make sure all indicators are listed first ..... then write the expert...... speakin of writing, are you copy and pasting all this in or typing it....... copy and paste is best......holler back if ya still have trouble.....h

the difference between the original expert above with this one is that I subsituted the Gann Trend indicator with the PowerPivots + trend Direction Highlights Long A2:= ExtFml("PowerPivots.TrendDirection",1,2); Ut:=If(Sum(A2>0,2)>1,1,If(Sum(A2<0,2)>1,-1,0)); A:=FmlVar("GANN-Swing","TD1"); Long:=Ut>0 AND A>0; Long=1 Short A2:= ExtFml("PowerPivots.TrendDirection",1,2); Ut:=If(Sum(A2>0,2)>1,1,If(Sum(A2<0,2)>1,-1,0)); A:=FmlVar("GANN-Swing","TD1"); Short:=Ut<0 AND A<0; Short=1 Out A2:= ExtFml("PowerPivots.TrendDirection",1,2); Ut:=If(Sum(A2>0,2)>1,1,If(Sum(A2<0,2)>1,-1,0)); A:=FmlVar("GANN-Swing","TD1"); Long:=Ut>0 AND A>0; Short:=Ut<0 AND A<0; Out:=Long<>1 OR Short<>1; Out=1 Symbols Long entry A2:= ExtFml("PowerPivots.TrendDirection",1,2); Ut:=If(Sum(A2>0,2)>1,1,If(Sum(A2<0,2)>1,-1,0)); A:=FmlVar("GANN-Swing","TD1"); Long:=Ut>0 AND A>0; Long=1 AND Ref(Long,-1)<1 Short entry A2:= ExtFml("PowerPivots.TrendDirection",1,2); Ut:=If(Sum(A2>0,2)>1,1,If(Sum(A2<0,2)>1,-1,0)); A:=FmlVar("GANN-Swing","TD1"); Short:=Ut<0 AND A<0; Short=1 AND Ref(Short,-1)<1 Long exit A2:= ExtFml("PowerPivots.TrendDirection",1,2); Ut:=If(Sum(A2>0,2)>1,1,If(Sum(A2<0,2)>1,-1,0)); A:=FmlVar("GANN-Swing","TD1"); Long:=Ut>0 AND A>0; Short:=Ut<0 AND A<0; Out:=Long<>1 OR Short<>1; Out=1 AND Ref(Long,-1)>0 AND Long=0 Short exit A2:= ExtFml("PowerPivots.TrendDirection",1,2); Ut:=If(Sum(A2>0,2)>1,1,If(Sum(A2<0,2)>1,-1,0)); A:=FmlVar("GANN-Swing","TD1"); Long:=Ut>0 AND A>0; Short:=Ut<0 AND A<0; Out:=Long<>1 OR Short<>1; Out=1 AND Ref(Short,-1)>0 AND Short=0
