How do I plot the following indicator from another security to another window {10%>MOV avg.3} x:=Mov(C,10,S); Y:=H>=X*(1.10); Y I only use this on an index for example:nasdaq composite index. This is a binary indicator which I only want to know if its true(+1) on the nasdaq as I'm watching some other chart.

Was thanked: 2 time(s) in 2 post(s)
Depending on how you chart your security 1: if you plot the nasdaq and drag and drop it onto the Viewed chart you can use the P function in you indicator, click on the nasdaq and drag and drop the indicator into it's own window {10%>MOV avg.3} x:=Mov(P,10,S); Y:=H>=X*(1.10); Y 2: you can use the security function to use the data from the nasdaq if it's in the same folder as the base security {10%>MOV avg.3} A:=Security("Symbol",C); x:=Mov(A,10,S); Y:=H>=X*(1.10); Y OR if the securrity is in a different folder than the base security {10%>MOV avg.3} A:=Security("c:\\Metastock Data\\Symbol",C); x:=Mov(A,10,S); Y:=H>=X*(1.10); Y

never mind found answer: Security("compqx", Fml( "10%>MOV avg.(3)") )for those that might be interested. The symbol should be in the same folder where your calling it from,if not write full path.

Thanks Henry, I must have been posting when you were...didn't see your post. Thank you for the "p" indicator part .
