Indicator Parameters based on the periodicity of the chart

Hello
Can someone please throw any light on the following queries:
1. Does MS Pro have any built in function to check the periodicity of the chart being displayed i.e. daily weekly intra-day and if intrday-number of minutes or ticks?
2. Following from the above can we program the parameters used by an indicator in a manner that the parameters used for each time frame are different e.g a 15 bar Stock %K for an hourly chart and 5 bar Stock %K for hourly charts etc.

I don't know of any built in function for checking the periodicity of charts but it's not that difficult to create code for doing this. For example, I use the following code for detecting whether a chart is weekly periodicity.
A:=DayOfWeek();
G:=LastValue(Highest(Sum(A=5,5))=5);
All this does is set "G" true for the entire data array when 5 consecutive bars are Fridays. An intraday chart could be identified as hourly periodicity with the following code.
A:=Minute();
G:=LastValue(Highest(A)=0);
This method is just one of several that you could adopt. If the above is not suitable then make changes accordingly.

To check for periodicity of charts, use this Auto chart detector indicator from MetaStockTools.com.
"Detects Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly charts automatically - with application example".
Also available for clients, custom Intraday timeframe detector:
"Displays current intraday timeframe in minutes.
Detects any standard or custom intraday timeframe from 1min up to and including 60min.
Can be referenced by any MetaStock process."
