Do you mean the Inner Window Properties? Format menu -> Inner Window -> Background color?

The data window is available VIEW | DATA WINDOW. It can be docked, but looks retarded in gray if all of the chart backgrounds are non-gray.

Yes, this has been a problem since a long time which got only worse when we got the ability to change colours of different plots of a multi-plot indicator. Please plot a multiplot indicator on a chart - make sure that the colours of these plots are not BLACK. Now activate the data window. Right-click on it and select "Data Window Properties..." On the General Tab UNcheck the "Display Data Window Text In Color" box. The expected result should be that all the values in the Data Window should be in Black. But for the Multi-plot indicator they will stay in colour. As you said these value become illegible when the colour of the indicator and the BackGround of the Data Window is same or similar. The ability to change the background of data window should help in solving these problems. Further there can be option to select to have background of the InnerWindow as the background of DataWindow. In this case we can have a multicolour stripped background of Datawindow in case the backgrounds of Innerwindows are different coloured. Still the user will have what he chooses to have. Regards SMG

Better still, how about a contrasting background for each data line color? This way there would be no need to compromise with a single overall background color. jose '-)

Jose, You are welcome. This is exactly what I meant when I suggested : "Further there can be option to select to have background of the InnerWindow as the background of DataWindow. In this case we can have a multicolour stripped background of Datawindow in case the backgrounds of Innerwindows are different coloured. Still the user will have what he chooses to have. " This will serve the same purpose. Regards SM

I use black background to all my charts, layout templates etc..... However all the EXPERTS are in black.... And there is not a SINGLE command that would change ALL expert TEXT, ARROWS in colour of user's choice. Try changing Candlestick expert arrows and text and you will know. :censored: I think that in black template the expert should default to any colour as long as it's NOT BLACK. anil
