huntin is almost done this year..... turkey season is yet to come but kinda hate to shoot my own kind..... before packing that camo away we might be able to use a little on metastock.... i once thought that meta was blind to what's camoflauged in {}'s ... well, yes and no.... we can use both answers to our advantage.... early on my quest for the ultimate indicator lead to a quest to keep the thousands found in some type usable order.... several methods were devised, the first involved the use of {}'s.... put simply, by inclosing each of roy's indicators in one set of {}'s it will keep all his indicators together.... just inclose jose's in 2, {{ }}, cedar creeks in {{{ }}} and so on..... if one of the indicators is used in an expert the {}'s will not interfere.... so it must be selective blindness....... my experience in trading has lead me to believe that a too high precentage of what's spoken is spoken without experience.... same goes for the written.... the other day on one of the market newscast shows an unknown,to me, market guru was preaching on surefire times when to buy and when to sell.... it ain't that easy.... there are only a couple of surefire times to buy, not sure if there is a surefire sell..... very often buy/sell rules can be swapped with surprising results.... as an example, if we were to run meta's optimized moving average crossover system test on the nasdaq 100, the optimum parameters might be the 12>10 for the buy and 12<10 for the sell.... swap those and run on the nas100 again...... so the next time some guru says buy when c>mov(c,10,s) and sell when c<mov(c,10,s) , be sure to backtest the exact opposite on the nas100 or s&p500.... meta makes it easy.....h

hey g.... yeah your deal works perfect.... the only difference is in formula calls.... the brackets will not interfere, any other character will.... any other character forces you to rewrite roy's complex systems to match the new name.... still can't find the exact work i was lookin for, it describes almost every aspect of the meta file types.... still lookin.... heres something to study on in the mean time.....h
