My wife and I made some Christmas Claymations. One is us building a snowman. The other is the first 9 of the 12 Days of Christmas. We still need to work on the last 3. If you're interested in seeing them, they're on my site at: http://www.russellfamily.info/Family/Claymation/

Yeah. I have a Nikon 8700. I took 188 pictures to make both movies. I then used (at least for now) Windows Movie Maker that comes free with Windows XP to put them all together. I put the days together in separate movies (so they can be easily repeated in the final version) and then put all the movies of each day together into one movie for easy viewing. I might end up putting it together in Final Cut on the Mac, but I don't know. For this project, the Movie Maker seems good enough. When I do a movie with chapters and scene selection and such, Final Cut is definitely the way to go.

6 Geese a laying! Yes, those are eggs... I had planned on turning the claymations black and white. Probably should have used yellow instead of red :)

A 12oz box at Target is $1.50. It comes with four colors (red, yellow, green, blue). It is soft forever. I got four boxes and only opened the second because the 8 maids and 9 ladies. The white came from a big box for $5. It is the kind that is soft until you bake it in the oven.

Nice! Will have to go shopping... I figure that we will need blood (too many hours playing Prince of Persia) so i was going to mix gelatin with red food color. :) I might have a go too!

I did a fight claymation a long, long time ago. It was in black and white. I used dark clay for blood and it worked great! You could just use the red clay.

The 12 Days of Christmas Claymation is finished! It is up on my site for all that want to see it. It is kind of big (21 MB) but it isn't too bad if you're on broadband. Let me know if it is too big and I can put up a slightly lower quality copy that is smaller. The Snowman Claymation is still up there too. They are both here: http://www.russellfamily.info/Family/Claymation
