if somebody have today problem with open chart on Metastock pro? I have problem regarding download data... when I go file new chart type Onnn open and then ask me about data range last 1000 I choose then it freezing and say Connection with the online vendor timed out waiting for a response... when I press retry it dont respond either! ps: My little brother is on long vacation...

This sounds like a firewall is blocking the connection. Could be the software was updated changing the firewall configuration. Or you are having internet connection issues or slow connection. No problems have been reported with the Data servers. Regards Doc

I didn't get this particular error, but I got several times another one "The Equity cannot be added to the DataOnDemand Cache", which is pretty close to the behavior you are experiencing. Also the QuoteCenter server was out of wack on the Thanks Giving day and provided data into the FUTURE!!! (for Forex) Seems there are still some bugs to be worked out. Guara

Gaura, The error The Equity cannot be added to the DataOnDemand Cache could be caused by trying to open to much Intraday data. If you can't open any security it could be permissions have changed. Yes there was an issue with the FOREX data on Thursday not a bug in the software, but an issue with the data server. Regards Doc

Hey DOC I check my firewall , allow Metastock component.... I got DSl connection 1.3 mgb I have never seen this problem before... Metastock never ask me about date period... and have never got this issues done... I have esignal for connection ... #-o

Konrad, Are you able to open any securities? Can You start QuoteCenter? How often do you experience this problem. It very well could be a speed We have many cusomter that are surprised when they find out what there interent speed really is. To verify internet speed go to the follow site and run the test. http://www.dslreports.com/stest?loc=2 Then paste the results here. The upload and download speeds should exceed 256K.

I am not able to open any chart because of that error I scan a picture above, Yes, I am able open Quotecenter no problem The problem I expirence today, I have never had this problem before Yes my computer and internet is ok....or at least... I test online look fine.... Best Regard Konrad

Konrad, It appears there is no problem with Speed. I would suggest starting your computer in Safe mode with Networking and then try Metastock. Type or hit the F8 key as your computer is rebooting and when the menu appears select Safe Mode with networking When did this problem start? What has change since that time? Regards Doc

The problem have gone automatic.... after recover Metastock I done it by click on Metastock hold ctrl and shitf key on keyborad and reset user settings but asking question about What data period you want to [color=green:88a18a4c49]load is not disappear[/color]!, It drive me crazy everytime I open any chart asking me this question... how to get rid of this question? Konrad, In the open dialog in the upper left hand corner select options Then select load options. Place a bullit in front of load periods and specify a number of periods. Would you please contact your Internet Provider and find out if you have a shaped or unshaped internet connection. Let me know. Regards Doc

hello DOC Internet speed is ok, no problem on line I choose load 500 period display 250 periods? Ok I dont know if I choose it good? should I put the same amount of data ? ex:[color=brown:689eba5269] Load 500 period display 500 period[/color]? also I want to delete some securities from my list: I go to file new chart,esignal, stock common, OTC(over the counter) and if I choose now to delete securities I dont want to see will they [color=blue:689eba5269]disapear[/color] forever? or will stay in my database? I want to delete some because is more easy to see what I like to see than see what I have to see.... :oops: if is not proper way to remover securities [color=green:689eba5269]safety[/color]so, what is the safe way to remover securities from my list...

Konrad, I understand your Internet Speed is ok Right now, but I ma very interested to find out if your Internet Account with your Internet provider is limited or shaped in any way. If it is your may continue to have issue later on the month. It would also help me to resolve some connection issues with other international customers. So would you please find out about your Internet connection and let me know. The number of periods you choose to load and display is a user preference. However the more data your load will require more computer performance. I would not delete the securities from the list If you only want to use specific items I would add them to a favorites list.

Ok, I check with my Internet Provider no problem on "line" they check my signal, connection account... [quote=standard" option I should select... to load... Yes, I thought about this issues about deleting secruties... after if I delete and updata database it still loading :cry: , so I bether create favorite folders of layout and charts.... best regard konra
