Hello All I am planning to purchase Metastock to do technical analysis of NON US securities. I will be feeding the EOD price data in a CSV file everyday. I have the following questions. Can anyone please help me with the answers: Q1: How do I indicate stock split of a security into Metastock? Please note that I will be using a CSV file for data input. Q2: Can Metastock support securities from multiple marktes? In my country there are two major stock exchanges (Like NYSE and NASD in USA) but many securities are traded in both exchanges with different prices and volumes? Can I use Metastock in this situation? I appreciate the response. regards Nand

Welcome Nand to the forum. You can go ahead and buy Metastock, he can do all what you want and more. Q1: A: You will use The Downloader to adjust prices: It is a program that comes along with Metastock. Q2: A: It is not a problem at all. Metastock can handle that. Bulli ;)

In Downloader, open the file with the split data. Additional menues appear at the top when a file is opened, choose "Adjust" then "Split" At this point choose the 'help' file as it clarifies which are 'first' and 'last' dates for the adjustment Be sure and save file after adjusting the data.

MS PRO does not adjust for splits. The data that is recieved from Esiganl is posted to the chart. Some times End of data data is not adjsut by some vendors. There is a feature in MetaStock you can use to adjust a stock for a split . Regards Doc
