You can do it with the help of some external dlls. Some of them are available for free and some are part of packages.
One is GetTEXTFILE function in SPYGLASS of www.debry.com
another is a recent utility of www.metastockcsv.com
I think there are some other DLLs also that can help in reading External data, which I do not seem to remember right now. You can use Explorer along with these DLLs to do what you want.
I hope it helps. I have been doing something similar since a long time.

Something even more powerful could be done, had you been using version 7.0. I have version 7.0 as well as version 9.0, however I still use version 7.0 due to that feature, which is no more there in recent versions.
I will post a detailed post describing the UNDOCUMENTED feature of version 7.0 later. right now I am learning how to post to the forum and attach images, so that I can send images also to understand what could be done.
