I went to downlods and dwnloaded all there. I looked at the manual. It says to click on forumdll.exe. I did a windows search, but no such file. I did a search of this forum for forumdll.exe. I lot came up, but after reading a few that came up, I could not readily find forumdll.exe mentioned. can anyone help me to get started on getting the downloads installed? thank you, Puzzeled

Gawdib
I've sent you the dll by email. I prefer to use the name "Forum.dll" rather than "ForumDll.dll". It will work with whatever name you give it I think. Once it's placed in the "External Function Dlls" folder you'll need to restart Metastock before you can use it.

Hey Gawdib-
Welcome to the forum!
You've seen those signs "Pardon our dust while we remodel"? Well, we don't have a sign.
Sorry, the forum links are only temporarily down. Patrick is constantly trying to maximize the usability of the forumDLL, so the link to the current file is frequently updated. I don't have a copy of every one of the revisions cause I try to keep current, but until he gets back and is able to give you the latest release, please use this copy.

#-o I do not think I understand your problem.
But I will tell you the steps and tell us what went wrong afterwards
1- Download Forumdll.zip from the message above.
2- Open the file with a Zip program like Winzip
3- Extract the file "Forumdll.dll" (with Metastock closed) into this folder:
C:\\Program Files\\Equis\\MetaStock\\External Function DLLs
then open Metastock normally: the Forumdll.dll should work normally.
If you still cannot use the Forumdll.dll
Make sure you have the correct Forumdll.dll for your version of Metastock
Also you can try Forumdll.dll for version 8 of Metasstock
here is the link:
http://forum.equis.com/d..._file_view&cat=7&file=30
Hope this work for you
Regards,
Bulli ;)

Close MetaStock and copy the file into this directory: [code:1:ca19deb8fa]C:\\Program Files\\Equis\\MetaStock\\External Function DLLs[/code:1:ca19deb8fa]
Once copied, start MS and it should be available. This dLL works in MS version 9.1. If you are using an older version, that might be what's causing the problem. I have no way to test that theory though. I have a couple of other older versions, I could send those to you to try...
