Hi everyone,
I have noticed that google is almost the only search engine posted around here, I am not against Google or someting!
Give this site a try:
www.ask.com
In many cases I get better results and you can make Question in the search text.
Just a thought 8)
Thanks
Bulli

Thanks B-
Patrick for one is hounding me about mentioning Google all of the time... I'm sure he'll be your ally. In fact, I'll bet you that he comes up with some no name, third rate, johnny come lately search engine that he claimes to use; however, rest assured that he is attracted to the Google light just like the rest of the bugs on the web.
P-L-E-A-S-E don't disappoint me, P... I need to hear this one. :mrgnr:
Just face it boys... :Worthy: GOOGLE

The fact of the matter is that right now Google is IT. They have more of what people need, information, maps, stock quotes, phone numbers, groups...The list goes on and on. Even though Yahoo has more searchable pages Google's results, I find get me what I need more often than not. I don't work for them and can't afford their stock, but I am in IT and they get me what I need quick.
I never understood Ask Jeeves. It was a 2 or 3 billion dollar company but not too many use it and I don't see any advertising. Ask.com tried adding question / answer to their [censored]nal. I read the story about it on CNN. They had a sample question to ask it, I think it had something to do with the size of a lake or something. That question worked, but nothing else has since then. I have tried many times to ask questions, but never get answers.
One funny thing about Google is when they recently added stock symbol queies to their site, when you go for more information - it sends you to Yahoo. Also, I thought just after they were bought they were supposed to get rid of the buttler'ish mascot / icon. I see he is still hanging around.

That's funny about the redirect to yahoo. You can get it a different way though... if your symbol updates can be updated by RSS you could add it to your Google/IG page. No redirects there. Just a thought.

It is different:

Try it out, I think it used to be called looksmart.com or something like that.
