Hi
Can anyone tell me of an indicator or product add on that will draw automatic trendlines on a chart ? Some of the metastock documentation mentions this feature but I am unsure if this is for Metastock pro or just your basic version.
Thanks
David

Check out this thread ... http://forum.equis.com/viewtopic.php?t=188
I know the search function is not working but you should take a look at the last pages of the indicators posts, I remember that this was one of our first topics ...

You can also find " 2-point plot - coding example of 2-point, x/y line plot - useful for creating automatic chart trendlines" here.

Thanks guys for the formulas and reference to the recent post. I will use them.
In the doumentaion for metastock pro it says this.
Support and Resistance Lines
Our extremely popular Dynamic Trading Tools: Profiting with Support, Resistance and Trendline Breakouts module has been added to MetaStock 9.0. This lets you automatically draw support, resistance, and trendlines on your charts in addition to finding trendline breakouts.
Is this just for the pro version and not end of day ?
Also, has anyone ever used this dll plugin. It's shareware at $25.

A quick update. I see the Dynamic Trading Tools are now built into metastock end of day. I will probably use these indicators such as DT Trendline DN.
Is there any way to look at or modify these formulas as they ask for a password when you wish to edit them ?
Thanks
David
