I heard from a forum that there is a crack that you can hack the source code... Isn't there an alternative way to protect our codes?

WARNING!
Piracy is illegal- I wouldn't recommend getting logged as part of such activity. Especially since Equis cooperates fully with all authorities in such matters. i.e., turning over all acount information and a record of every ISP that you've used to access your account, along with all other information that is associated with your account(s) to aid the legal department and federal authorities to track you down.
Get real... theft is a criminal act. Unless you are looking for that utopia called rehabilitation or a (u)scheduled nightly rendezvous... it's not worth it. Leave now while the gettin' is good.

The point I was trying to make is that I have heard of this"crack" but never saw it ...
I place it in the urban legend category ;) ... Now if you want to protect your work, well then don't publish it ...

That's the best advice I've heard all day. I'd hate to see someone I knew on the Post Office bulletin board cause I could always use some extra ca[censored] :D

G-stockman you are unfair! I mentioned it to protect us from these cracks. I don't have any of these illegal files. It was a post by some 'pirates' who sold 'pirated' software. I made this post to inform you and Patrick about the crack. Why are you so unfair with me?

We support equis a lot here in Greece... I think it's time to support us too. I don't have this crack Patrick but I need your help. I have made a Trading System which have to be examined by a group of Profs from my university for its 'quality'... As you can understand I don't want to have my code stolen. I don't know if they could have this kind of crack. But if you say this crack doesn't exist i hope it doesn't. G-stockman please don't judge me this way...

I truly believe this crack does not exist ... Again if you or anyone finds it make sure to send it me
( ForumAdmin@equis.com ), I won't tell g_stockman ;) ... I'm just curious :D
Now working with a group of Profs from a university, what are the chances they would disrespect your work and spend time trying to "crack" it ... Ultimately if their job is to check the code's validity you will at some point have to trust them and give them some information ...
Now g_stockman was not accusing you of being a pirate, he was just warning both of us to not admit to or do anything illegal openly on the forum ... Ultimately we should not post any illegal document on the forum ...
No harm done :D

I'm not judging you and I'm sorry you think I'm unfair- especially since I'm helping you with another request. The subject of my post was WARNING!
The original question about setting an indicator password was answered in the link provided. It stated: Quote:Working with password protected indicators
You can export your formulas, experts and indicators using the Organizer. One of the last steps in that process will be to add a password. Once you export to a folder, turn around and import it back. You will see that it is password protected. When you try to edit the expert it will ask you for the password. If you do not want to have to type a password, you will have to recreate the Expert. Note: you cannot un-password protect indicators that you did not create.
The topic then took a u-turn and headed south. Hacking files and integrity of the password protection is really not something that we need to promote. It is not consistent with the mission of this forum.
