If you're talking about minimum requirements to communicate with real time data... I've used 128 Kb/s without any problems. Currently at 1,024 Kb/s and see no difference as far as MSQC is concerned. It's likely that you're going to be interested in d/l speed too. I've used connection rated at 1,024 Kb/s actually running a lot less and have not had any problems.

Thanks for the experience report. :) My question referred to the minimal QuoteCenter requirements. The equis page ( https://www.metastock.co...duct.aspx?c=9&p=68&i=118 ) does not distinguish between down speed and up speed. The contribution was made in the QuoteCenter forum originally, too. Well let me post my 0.02 cents here. While working in support for Reuters Datalink I would occasionnally get a call from a customer who could not download data from Reuters Datalink. The problem was that his upload speed was so slow that he would get disconnected from our servers. Some of you, like Jose, would ask, why does it matter? Well when you download data you have to upload a list of symbols you would like to get data for, before anything else happens ... In this day and age, I would hope that most investors/traders use a dsl or broadband connection. Now if you were still using a dial up or one of tose weird satellite connections, for any reasons make sure that your upload speed is at least at 40 KBPS Patrick :D
