Does anyone know if it is possible to use multiple experts on a chart when the chart has 3-4 inner windows, i.e. 1 expert per inner window? Trying to line up 4-5 indicators and show red/green ribbon on each at the same time, keeping the ability to have them aligned (ie avoing use of multiple separate charts on same page). I tried using experts in 2 inner windows on 1 chart and only 1 stays on the chart, and then only on the charts main window(not the inner window) Thanks

Was thanked: 2 time(s) in 2 post(s)
lets get a few facts about the expert out in the open 1: only one expert per chart can be attached at a time 2: the ribbon feature can be designed as a separate expert system 3: the highlights can be designed as a separate system 4: the symbols can be designed as separate system signals so right there , you can display 3 systems on 1 expert Now lets talk about indicators, if you design an indicator as a system binary indicator, where +1 for a long position, -1 for a short position, and 0 for a neutral position now you can have as many systems as you want on one chart

I'm trying to line up 4-5 market indicators, new his/lows/advance-decline-advancing volume-dec volume- on the same page, putting a ribbon at the bottom of each- so i can see whether they all say positive, or all say negative, to give me a consensus view of the market temperature- wanted to use 1 chart and then inner windows so i could always keep them aligned and use crosshairs etc- markets looking at at at present are microcaps/small caps but not adding to positions because those indicators are not looking great- - those indicators are negative now and i'm not shorting-

hey kadip..... that extra info helps, and yes you should be able to accomplish something similar that with a little work.... once the chart is made up you could save it as a template/layout and apply to other securities...... you likely know that meta includes the broad market layouts..... 'bm nasdaq.mwl' and bm nyse.mwl' which can be easily adapted to your purpose also..... the need for a ticker/security was so i could make up a chart that you could open in your meta..... the actual ribbons, as commonly seen above the months but below the volume, can be placed in their own window above the price chart...... while its possible to have more than one expert style ribbon on a chart as you mentioned, it would be more trouble than its worth, trust me..... the only value would be to scroll backwards in time to view the colored ribbons ...... henry's suggestion of binary indicators would be far better..... and binary waves can be turned into true bullish/bearish red/green ribbons easy enough, which sounds very much like your goal......h
