I really enjoy using the Candlestick Advisor and was wondering if there is any way to have MetaStock search for certain candle patterns. For example, if I want to find bullish engulfing patterns, how would I tell MetaStock to do this? Thanks!

Create a new Expert Then place new highlight with the following formula EngulfingBull() attach the Expert to the Chart That is it. If you want an Exploration, put the formula in the filter. and the rest as usual. For full list of Candles, open Metastock Help file and look for "Candlestick Functions" they are all there. Best regards, Bulli

What version of Metastock do you have? In version 9.0 an included Expert Advisor is the Equis - Candlesticks which will identify candlestick formations on a chart and label them. All you have to do is Attach the Expert.

Check your exploration load options Konrad and make sure you do not have "load minimum records selected". Patrick

hey brownsfan019.... to search/explore for several patterns at the same time you could also put a seperate candlestick formation in each of the 6 columns and then in the filter section place colA OR colB OR colC OR colD OR colE OR colF that would return the true results for each column..... look in the function section of the exploration builder for the many candlestick codes......h
