Ebay sure is in the buying mode... first PayPal, now Skype. There was an interesting article about how the merger news didn't exactly fit the typical merger profile. Ebay stocks actually rose on the news. Check it out here .

I am wondering what they are going to do with it. Will they some how integrate it into the auction site or are they branching out? At least PayPal complimented their auction company {sum of the parts, and all that}. I don't know much more about Skype than the communications company. It is kind of funny that Rupert won't get it though :D

Maybe they'll turn it into a VOIP auction where you can see your competition real time... who knows? Sorta interesting though.
