Take a look at your file from Windows Explorer .... If it says "sequential" ( and not "sequential.exe" do the following: Click on tools, folder options, click on the view tab and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" Click on ok and now rename your file agaain to .[censored] and upload it on the forum. Thanks Henry :D Patrick :mrgreen:

Hi Henry, I tried to install sequential.exe but it seems that there is another error comes up "No importable files exist in the source folder". Furthermore, I have also tried to import the file by going to Metastock > Tools > Expert Advisor > Organizer to import files and same problem occurs. Please help. Thanks alot. Happy trading Packer

You just have to double click on the file to self install

Hi Henry, Yes, I have done what you said. Unfortunately, the same error still comes up ""No importable files exist in the source folder". Thank you. Packer

Just as a note - I installed it without any problem. I just double clicked on the file and it self installed. Charley

Hi everybody, I would like to thank Henry and Charley for there input sofar. I did not expect to see this interest in the TD Sequential indicator. I extractec the file and the file was copied automatically into the C: Equis/Metastock/Expert folder. When opening the Metastock software, where will I find the indicator. I have looked in the Indicator Builder and the Expert Advisor , but could not fins anything that resembles the TD Indicator. Where have I gone wrong. Eckbert

Well Eckbert, I am going to have to retract my post above - when I check the directories I too could not locate the needed files. When it installed everything it appeared to install the files intact however it does not appear to have done so. I do not use the TD Seq. but if you really need it you might want to go the the web site posted above and manually install it from there - I do know this works. Also, there was a post from Patrick some time ago about Equis removing the TD Seq. from Equis Software because Demark had requested to have it removed. Perhaps this may be the problem. Henry - what directory does your exe file install the files to? Thanks, Charley

Hi Charley, the formulae from the link provided by you contains formulae that must be entered into the indicator builder and some that must be psoted into the expert advisor. Do you know which goes where? I tried to copy it to the indicator buiolder and it does not work. I then copied it into the commentary section of the expert advisor. It also does not work. Apparently it is not so easy to program this indicator. The difficult aspect is to get the Countdown right. Thanks for your help Eckbert

Just went to Guppy's web site - looks like there are 4 "Buy Indicators" and 4 "Sell Indicators" that must be entered as custom formulas. The remainder of the stuff goes into the Expert - note that some goes under Highlights and some goes into the Symbols sections - not the Commentary section. Also, not all is cut and pasted - some are instructions as to which colors to use, etc. Hope this helps - it is time consuming to cut and paste all of this but it beats having to type it all in. And, if Henry's self extracting file would work it would be a breeze. Maybe he has an answer for his exe file. Charley

Let me answer a few Questions about this expert, There are 8 indicators that are required for this expert TD-setup-Buy TD-setup-Sell TD Count Down Buy A TD Count Down Buy B TD Count Down Buy C TD Count Down Sell A TD Count Down Sell B TD Count Down Sell C Now for the hard facts This expert is only for a visual count, It cannot be traded due to the use of forward Ref Functions You will never get a signal for the most recent Bar

hi Henry, I think TD is a good indicators, I hope you can help me to explain some of my doubts. When I am doing a comparison between my charts and bloomberg, the TD signal generated from Bloomberg is much more accruate and it does create a daily number. I really want to do some research on the TD indicators. I am just wondering why there are so many dfferent Setups. Furthermore, I will appreciate if you can explaination to me TD2, TD3 and D8-17. Thank you. Regards, Packer TD1:=If(C<Ref(C,-4),1,0); TD2:=If(TD1=1 AND Ref(TD1,-1)=1 AND Ref(TD1,-2)=1 AND Ref(TD1,-3)=1 AND Ref(TD1,-4)=1 AND Ref(TD1,-5)=1 AND Ref(TD1,-6)=1 AND Ref(TD1,-7)=1 AND Ref(TD1,-8)=1, 1,0); TD3:=If(Ref(C,-9)>=Ref(C,-13),1,0); TD4:=If(TD2=1 AND TD3=1,1,0); TD5:=If(H>=Ref(LLV(L,5),-3),1,0);
