I'm mostly tring out different explorations for screening purposes. One thing I'm interested in is pattern recognition. For example, I read that a profitable pattern might be the one described by Larry Williams. In MetaStock, I have it coded like this so far:
[code:1:5000aa484a]Ref(C,-5) > Ref(C,-4) AND
Ref(C,-4) > Ref(C,-3) AND
Ref(C,-3) > Ref(C,-2) AND
Ref(C,-2) < Ref(C,-1) AND
Ref(C,-1) < C AND
C > Ref(H,-5)[/code:1:5000aa484a]
If you know of other patterns or have ideas on pattern searches, that would be great. It's just a thought.

I am a brand new member and still in nappies when navigation around websites and metastock. I thought the lesson was great. Went back again tonight to play it again and couldn't find it. Is that me or are they taken off the site after x amount of time :?: :cry:

I managed to find my way around and found them again. thought i'd download then so I could read off line. followed directions, but had problems
I tried right click- save target as. But when I tried to open them I had all sorts of messages appear. long and short is I couldn't open them. ???
any thoughts :(

What messages are you seeing?
There are a couple of ways to save the file. The easiest is to let it load and select FILE | SAVE AS from whatever media player you are using. You will have to have a flash media player.
If that doesn't work, from an earlier post...

Just move it out of the temp directory to some place safe. Then associate the web browser with the file extension and there it is!
The file explorer will also list the internet path back to the original file if you want the direct link.

Make sure you have macromedia flash installed on your machine

still having hiccups, but i think its a user error (or a I.D Ten T problem. ID10T), I will continue to work on it, otherwise I'll just stay online. Thanks for all the help :lol:

Try using IE and Firefox, see if one works better than the other ...
Try Downloading the file again just in case ...
