Preston's post in another thread is sending me off on a coffee conversation.. I am a HUGE coffee snob... can't drink perc, don't like yuccky coffee, basically super super spoiled. :) (can you imagine???). So - I was told to buy one of these babies http://www.nespresso.com/precom/home_us_en.html? (I actually got one for my birthday :)) and I have to say that this is the most fabulous coffee and machine I have ever had. It is quick, painless and very tidy... plus the coffee is amazing! (yup - have had all of the flavors) And rather than shop I just order the capsules online... If you are in the market for a coffee machine I would suggest one of these! This is the one I bought - http://www.nespresso.com...__N_ESS_C90_3_us_en.html It looks a bit funky but I am good with that! :) <end coffee filled rant!>

As a "coffe snob" how can you use those little coffee sachets? Isn't that ever so slightly fake? I guess it was a gift so you are forgiven. If it ever breaks try one of these.... http://www.ecm-espresso.it/product/GIOTTO.htm

Nice! Very nice!! Marilyn you're my kinda girl :smt055 Recently I've taken to grinding my own and while my machine is not as nice as yours its not the garden variety el-cheapo either and it does a great job if I take a few steps prepping the beans first. Simply place the beans in the nuke for a minute before grinding, then do a super grind. So far I've been very happy with the results. Preston :boire:

I'm not really sure...$1395 is the cheapest on eBay. That does include delivery though. http://search.ebay.com/e...QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsojsZ1

You know what... that's exactly what I used to think but these are little metal bullets. The coffee is very very very nice... and the machines are cool! I know that the boutique-y places that they sell them in do tastings... you should give it a fling... For a semi - inexpensive machine it brews wicked coffee! :) And I don't have to grind beans... Not that I wouldn't like to have freshly ground beans... I would just rather watch someone else do it for me :) Didn't I say I was spoiled?? :

Did you ever try Caffe L'Affare in Wellington? They were one of the originals. Amazing brunches and they roast and sell their coffee all over the country. http://www.laffare.co.nz/
