I live in Cocoa which is only a few miles from the launch site. I moved up here last year after 24 years in South Florida partly to get rid of the traffic and congestion and it is much better here for the most part but today the traffic was unbelievable and as bad as any rush hour in South Florida. It's amazing how many people come down here for these launches. I really felt bad for them as I saw every major road east bound so backed up only to find that it was scrapped. Oh well, maybe next time!

Yep, I was very surprised at how many were here. It usually takes me 10 minutes to get to the gym but it took 35 today. The majority of cars had plates from Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia, and even Maryland. I'm sure a lot of the Florida plates were from other parts of Fla as well.

I would go... I would do it just to say I had seen it once.
I remember once when I was younger my dad drove us hours into the middle of nowhere Oregon so we could stand on the side of a road to watch a total eclipse of the sun. Even though we were in the middle of nowhere there were cars parked all along the roads and people with their little home made pin hole things waiting for the eclipse. It made quite an impression on me and now I think that it is important to take a little extra time and weather some inconvenience just to witness something momentous. :) M

It's a fine line to walk... Patrick is a HUGE SMARTY PANTS!!! and always does these amazing things for me :smt045 (the forum, recording training and webinars, making Finding the Right Trades, all of my flash banners, etc) but you can't tell him all the time because we don't want him to get too big for his britches. Next thing you know he'll want bowls of M&M's on his desk and I will be relegated to picking out all of the colors he doesn't want... :D

If it were me, I'd stay on the space station rather than burn up on re-entry. bs_whatexc
Is there really more problems of late or is our ability to detect these problems just getting better? I mean, they have more cameras on the ship than ever before. I bet you can't even go to the bathroom in private!
