Issue #1 Does enyone knows if it's possible to open multiple layouts, each built of multiple charts (usually 3 or 4) and being able to seem each of them separately? I was able to built a button in the "custom Toolbar" for each layout, but this appraoch it's just switching between layouts. I would like to have multiple separate layouts on my desktop for a start. Issue #2 If the answer to Issue#1 is positive, then should be no problem to use a multi-head video card and set up a multi-display environment, let's say one display for each layout. Is there enyone who has done this?

hey guara.... charts can't be taken outside the perimeter of meta..... the multidisplay will work but perhaps not as you intended.... you can use large monitors, say 26" , in multi arangement form and drag the entire meta program across both 26"..... that gives a huge increase in size, of course..... you can then have open many layouts, sets of four, spread across...... it works best havin the monitors stacked one above the other.... buy the best graphics card you can afford..... if just one large monitor will suffice, once you have all your seperate layouts arranged, save that entire layout of layouts..... next time just pull up that one..... all we be sized as you left them......h

Thanks Hayseed I was expecting this kind of "solution". Unfortunately this doesn't provide "a professional multi display or multi layout trading solution". I will send a feature request to Equis about this. It should improve considerably the response time when dealing with multiple equities. BTW I am a Forex only trader so in general 5-8 layouts should suffice for most of the situations. Regards guara_riua

Was thanked: 14 time(s) in 10 post(s)
Have you looked into QuoteCenter FX? There are plenty of options for multiple layouts in the form of workspaces. It even includes a default FX layout to start you out. I'm not sure about multiple monitor options.

hey g..... meant to send this earlier..... QC works a little better in the dragging it entirely across multiple monitors..... where meta is pretty much limited to a height no larger than the smallest monitor due to its active content on the lower task bar, QC is not..... so if your main screen is a 15", you could expand QC out to your 20" and cover both screens entirely..... when you max out the largest monitor several inches of the smaller monitor will be cut off but that no issue due nothing is there anyway..... and of course you don't have to cover both.... btw, if you were to save a layout where meta is completely spread across multiple monitors, when that layout is recalled it will load at the exact saved size, so if you move back to 1 monitor, much of that layout will not be seen...... QC however some how recognises its space and auto adjusts its size to match..... that would be a plus for the large brokerage houses with multi workstations.....h

Thanks g_stockam and hayseed. I just started a trial period with MeatStock-Pro 9.1 FX and Quote Center. I will see what QC is able to do, but as I was told by the Equis marketing person that set me up with the product, QC has some limitations in charting oprion, but at least is able to provide access to time frames that are not yet available in MeatStock (i.e. 2,4,and 8 hr). I remeber this is a quite old feature request from the market users of meta, and yet nothing was done. Quite frustrating!
