How can I email a variable from Expert Alert Editor? E.g: Message to contain 'Sell at &CurrentPrice', where &CurrentPrice is the price at that moment?

I don't think it is possible the easy way :-k I would have to check tomorrow. But if you trade a specific security you could setup tons of alerts ... or copy the expert and rename it for each stock you follow ... For example: Alert1 Cross(C,80) Message: Buy at 80.5 Set stop loss at 80 Alert 2 Cross(C,81) Message: Buy at 81.5 Set stop loss at 81 etc ... That would be a lot of work but I guess could be worth the effort ;) Patrick

Hmm, the Alert as you have it does not allow me to email myself, correct? It is a screen-based alert, not an email-based alert? What I am actually trying to do is couple Metastock with Hyperorder (automated trading) - and Hyperorder receives its input via email. I would appreciate it if I could get further input to this, and look forward to your reply tomorrow.

Sorry  ... I was thinking that maybe you did not have the option checked. Click on tools options, real time and make sure the email alerts are enabled and that you have entered your email address in there ... Patrick  PS: I have EOD so I don't remember the screen name exactly ...

I was actually referring to this when I said 'tomorrow'. Had a look at it yet - how to send a variable in an email alert? (My email alert is working fine - I just need to know the variable part).

No you can't send a variable to an email alert, you will need to define multiple conditions, in the way that I described in my original post. Patrick
