Installed Metastock (EOD) XIII this week. I have two issues - both related to Custom Lists
  1. I wish to Import favorites from Metastock Vers 11 to XIII as a custom list
  2. I wish to create a Custom List to scan only those stocks which are in ASX All Ordinaries (in Australia). There are 500+ stocks in it. One way to create such a Custom List is to key in each code! That's a patience game.
My query is - Is there a quicker way to do it. Like using a text file containing those stock codes as an input.

Any assistance will be most appreciated.

Thanks

I use the old URSC toolkit for generating custom lists, but if your data supplier is PremiumData then this is also an easy task.

There is no direct way to import favorites into custom lists. However, you can run an Exploration on your Favorites, then Copy/Paste the Exploration Report into Excel. You can then Copy the symbol column from Excel, and Paste this into a New Custom List.

This functionality doesn't really stand out, but in the larger white box below where you type the symbols into a list one at a time, you can left-click your mouse in this box, then press Ctrl-V to Paste whatever is on your clipboard into this custom list.
