Hello,
I' ve noticed that if stocks data don' t start from the beginning of a week or a month, that weekly/monthly bar won' t be showed in the chart; is that correct? is there any option available to avoid this problem with my version 10 or newest?

We refer to this as "partial" weekly and monthly bars--meaning that if I open a weekly chart of IBM on Wednesday then the bar would show the OHLC for the Monday thru Wednesday. MetaStock with The DownLoader (pre version 12.0) would support these partial weekly bars. However online access to the data vendor does not support this. Version 12 and 13 only support online access to DataLink. We are looking at possible ways to support partial bars with online access in future versions.

My chart starts on 17th november 1999, it was wednesday; so i can' t see that weekly bar nor the monthly bar; how can i fix it? maybe adding empty rows in the chart using the downloader starting on 1st november? just trying to guess.

Two requirements for partial monthly bars: 1. Locally stored data using Downloader for collection 2. Daily periodicity (When you add the instrument in Downloader be sure to specific Daily) 3. When you open the chart, choose "monthly" periodicity.
Essentially the vendor does not provide "native" partial monthly bars (or weekly), so you have to use Daily files and then MetaStock will build the partial bar.
