Hi,

I want to go long using a SMA crossover of 10 over 30 day, this is easy to do, but is it possible in MetaStock to use leverage that for every 1 pound i invest with buys 10 units at 1 pound,

i.e. the closing price of a stock is 1 pound, when i go Long on this stock, instead of buying 1 unit at 1 pound, the formula will buy 10 units at 1 pound,

is this possible?

Thanks,

Niall

RTFM about where to set the default lot size in the EST; there are quite a few ways to do it.

Hi,

Thanks Wabbit for the feedback above,

After a detailed discussion with a MetaStock support person I have found out that the topic in this post is not available in the current MetaStock program EST section and can only be achieved with the development of an external DLL that integrates into the MetaStock program,

It might be the perfect solution, but to simulate leverage you could use 10% of available equity and make the starting balance 10 times more than the "real" account value, then apply this understanding to the results?

Hi,

Do you know of a third party DLL that provides the leverage functionality of any websites that has a list of third party DLLs?

Thanks,

Niall
