I would like to load data from Excel into Metastock, so whenever data within Excel is updated, the Chart within Metastock will also be updated. When I follow below instruction, I don't understand the step 4 on how to create a new security instead of creating New inner window within another security. Does anyone have any suggestions and know any tutorial video to do that?

To link data in an Excel spreadsheet to MetaStock

At this point you can perform further calculations on the indicator values in Excel if desired. Once these new values are calculated, they can be linked back to MetaStock and plotted in a new inner window by doing the following:

1. Select the entire column of newly calculated values in the spreadsheet by clicking on the column heading.
2. Right-click on the selected column and choose Copy from the shortcut menu. In the illustration below, columns A and B are the values linked from MetaStock. Column D is the newly calculated values that will be linked back to MetaStock.
3. Switch back to MetaStock.
4. Choose New Inner Window from the Window menu to open a new inner window in the chart.

5. Right-click on the new inner window and choose Paste Special from the shortcut menu.
6. Choose the Paste Link radio button and choose Csv from the list. Click OK.

Once I convert Excel data into a base security, will the data from a base security be automatically updated by linking data from Excel?
