Hello.
a) When trying to add folders in <Tools>, I get a run-time error 5 "invalid procedure call or argument". b) When trying to create files and folders, I gfet the error message "file could not be opened".
Any idea ? I installed the product using Admin logon, etc.etc. Thanks in advance.

When using the Add folders, did you open the downloader and go to Tools -> Download prices to bring up the select securities window. Once there, you were to select the first folder you wanted to be added to Fire. Set the number of folders to add and then click the Add button corresponding to the version of the downloader you were using. If you were doing this, after which step did you get the error?
When using the "create files and folders" option, had you previously downloaded data for those files with the downloader? Did you verify the path to the tickers.dta file was the folder the downloader was installed to?
Fire is looking for existing MetaStock formated data files. If you do not have these, these two tools will not work properly.

Yes.

Right after I clicked on the <Add> button for "metastock 8 and above".

Yes. I made a dump of the various screens mentionned above (png format). Just let me know where I can upload it, and I'll send it to you.
Many thanks. MN
