Hello.
The booklet "Mastering Metastock" indicates that the above systems are appropriate for short-term traders, as they generate trades every 4-6 days (1 to 3 days for CMO reversal).
Does this mean that one should use them only with the "pro" version of MS, and use EOD only for systems generating trades every week or more ?
Many thanks.

No, it does not mean those systems are only for the professional version of MetaStock. There are many different and varied ways to trade. some systems look for signals that long term trends are starting. Systems like that may be designed to only give a signal every month or so. On the other end are systems that look for short quick moves. These systems give signals every couple of days (or quicker on an intraday chart)

different traders are more comfortable at different levels of activity. If you like taking the short trades and hopefully banking a small profit in just a couple of days, the short term systems may work well for you. If you prefer a slower pace seek instead to ignore the short term moves in favor of the greater trend, you would likely prefer a different type of system. Look for one you are comfortable with.
